Scott
Scott sees himself back where it all started. Having opened Rixons On Pakington way back in 1993 our 3rd generation principal stylist grew the business to 3 salons with 40 plus staff. Stripped back to one salon now allows Scott to focus on what he’s passionate about, training and developing staff. Having been in the industry for over 30 years his love of cutting and passing on his wealth of knowledge to others still drives his passion.
Michelle
With over 30 something years of experience Michelle still loves the buzz of the salon and the connection with clients. Helping Scott with the direction of the salon and making sure our clients are happy is always her focus. Successful hairdressers have the ability of making people feel fantastic which is a great skill to have. She’s passionate about the salon growing and evolving and giving our clients the very best.
Yvette
Yvette has been our salon co-ordinator since 2002 and is an integral part of our team. She always goes above and beyond to make our clients feel welcome, she’s very accommodating and makes sure our clients are well cared for. You’ll often see her juggling the phone, receiving stock, directing staff and running after Scott all with a smile.
Taylor
Tay always brings her bubbly personality into the salon. She is one of our passionate senior colourists that is always pushing the boundaries and creating effortless colours. Tay is a Kevin Murphy session stylist who loves all things styling and editorial and is always keeping up with the latest trends. Tay is back from maternity leave working Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & some Saturdays.
Leigha
Leigha has been hairdressing since she was 16 Years old. Her passion for hair never stops. Leigha is a fantastic allrounder. She loves creating blondes, effortless colours and creating perfectly tailored styles to each client. Her barbering background takes her cutting to the next level for men and women. In her spare time Leigha loves her Karate, travelling and taking endless selfies with her cat taco.
Casey
Casey returned to Geelong at the end of 2019 where her career and passion for hairdressing started 15 years ago. She loves transforming her clients wherever possible, and makes time to research new and existing techniques, always wanting to showcase wherever possible in the salon.
In her private life Casey loves finding new adventures to go on with her kids including watching football, long beach walks and a love of live music.
Jemma
Jemma is our receptionist/salon co-ordinator who has been in the hair and makeup industry for over 15 years. With 8 years experience at Crown Day Spa, client experience and satisfaction comes at the utmost importance to her. She’s a busy mum of 2 so when she’s not at the reception desk you’ll find her spending time with her family.
Courtney
Courtney with almost 9 years in the industry working up in Melbourne, has brought her passion to the coast. After working in one of Melbourne’s top salons for almost 5 years with countless opportunities in both event and behind the scenes styling, she loves all things cut and style and is a top advocate for sometimes all you need is a haircut to make you feel better. She enjoys baking in her spare time and hanging out with family and friends, including her dogs Willow and Nelson.
Maryana
Maryana is a senior stylist with a happy positive spirit. She began her journey in hairstyling over 8 years ago in Lebanon before moving to Australia. Maryana is passionate about everything related to hair and loves helping people feel confident and beautiful. When she’s not in the salon you’ll find her keeping her eye on fashion trends, spending time with her family and catching up with friends.
George
George Brings over 15 years experience and a genuine passion for all things hair. He loves colour work, precision cutting and for a big event he’s your guy for formal styling. Originally from Syria George and his wife have made Australia their home and enjoy going out for dinner and speeding time with friends and family.
Abbie-Anne
Originally from the UK and fresh from six years in Queenstown, Abbie-Anne brings 18 years of experience to the Rixons team. A true all-rounder she’s as confident with colour as she is with cutting and loves total hair transformations. Outside the salon she loves travelling, meeting new people, hiking, running, and cooking — a love of adventure that shows in her creative, client-focused approach.
Derri
Derri brings 14 years of hairdressing experience to the Rixons team. Originally from Lincolnshire in the UK, she has now settled in Geelong with her husband and two kids. She loves working with all hair lengths — from short, sharp cuts to medium and long styles — and is passionate about creating beautiful colour work. Outside the salon, Derri is all about staying active. She enjoys running and fitness, paddle boarding, travelling and catching live bands whenever she can.
Caleb
Caleb, our enthusiastic 3rd-year apprentice, is all about creating looks that lift spirits. With a growing talent in cutting, colouring, and styling, he brings a mix of fresh ideas and genuine care to every client in his chair. His easy-going nature makes appointments feel relaxed and fun, and he loves being part of the salon’s creative buzz. Outside of work, you’ll usually find Caleb shopping, relaxing at the beach, or exploring new places to eat.
Lyra
Lyra is our up and coming first-year apprentice whose love for hairdressing started with her own styling experiments. She aspires to make clients leave feeling their absolute best, one joyful hair moment at a time. When she’s not in the salon you’ll find her adventuring on bush BBQs with family, curled up with a great book, or spending quality time with her pup and friends.
